I have a syncrowave 180 when i try to tig weld the amps are adjustable with the knob on the front panel but can't adjust the voltage with the hand adjuster it stays at 52 all the time what could be my problem?
Reply:I'd start by checking the pot circuits (terminals C, D & E of the 14-pin plug. Check for broken wires and check the machine receptacle circuits too.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Are you sure duane? I've never adjusted volts on my SYNCROWAVE.My name's not Jim....
Reply:I took it that 123 weld meant "amperage" as he first stated and not "voltage".MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Hi On my machine there are two windows the top window is voltage and the bottom window is amps with the knob on the front of the machine i can adjust the amps from a single number all the way up to 180 The top number volts has 3 doted lines until i start to adjust it with the finger control should that number go up as i adjust that finger wheel ? mine seem to go right to 27 and when i try to weld i get a spark but it seems to be to weak! This is my first tig welder. Thanks ray
Reply:You do not adjust volts on a TIG machine. If you don't have the manual, it would be a good idea to go to miller's site and look it up.My name's not Jim.... |
