This has been happening for a little while now and I thought it was just me, but maybe not. I was welding tonight (having a bad welding day go figure, screwed up a few pieces) and my foot on the pedal didn't move and my arc stops then starts again really quick. All within say 1/2 second. It happened to me at least 3 or 4 times. So I grabbed a scrap piece and just kept it in the same position then went in a circle and after about a minute or so it happened again. Is this something I am doing or anyone ever have an issue like this before?Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer

Reply:Well, on my sync 300 the arc gets a bit unstable at low throttle no matter what the amperage is set at on the control panel. If it's set at 400 on the panel and I just crack the throttle it will be putting out about 100 amps, but the arc is somewhat unstable anyway. That was my first thought, but if you are closer to WOT I guess that idea is out the window. What about on steel?Ian TannerKawasaki KX450 and many other fine tools
