Miller helmet problems

Hey guys,I have an issue with my miller helmet. When I strike an arc the shade darkens intermittently, it flickers a few times a second between on and off. It happens in standard mode and in x-mode. I've changed the batteries and replaced all the screens. It has 4 sensors, I cleaned them too.Has anyone else had this issue, and can I fix it myself? Hoping I don't have to send it off to be fixed or spend the cash on a new sensor panel. Thanks.

Reply:Man sorry to hear but glad shovelon posted on his experience with them. I was thinkin bout orderin a new digital elite in the next few days. I know not all people experience the problems, but with a known track record and some of the stuff I've been reading I'm not sure I want to take any chances
Reply:it's not as simple as buying just a new shield- I've got one of these respirators to go with it.  http://www.welding.com.au/dm303-87/vortex-papr-system/The helmet and respirator system cost me over a grand three years ago so you can understand why I'm not keen on trashing the Miller for another brand just yet...
