Hi, just bought an sa200 and the s/n doesn't jive with anything online.possibly Canadian made. F163 continental, looks like GM alternator, Fairbanks-Morse magneto.here is a pic of the i.d. plate and innards. Attached Images

Reply:The Lincoln 6090 is a historical benchmark for Lincoln SA200 welding machines. Basically, it is the first "Long Hood" machine that was produced.Lincoln SA200's... at least 15 - 20. They come and go. Growing partial to the "Short Hoods" in my old age. Last count on Short Hoods was 13 in possession.

Reply:this tells me the machine is pre 1969 http://www.lincolnelectric.com/asset...oln3/IM208.pdfthe F163 tells me the machine is post 1963.at present, I guess I'll just have to settle for it being somewhere between 1963 and 1969, though I'm guessing the alternator would put it at the later end of the spectrum.
