I can't find any references in the search. I have an ESAB HeliArc torch. HW-20R.Are 20 series parts "standardized"?I can find a lot of Weld-Craft parts and they appear to be the same configuration as the ESAB torch. I'm looking to get a kit of 4 gas lens sizes as kits appear to be the better deal so far.I have the ESAB Pdf and it looks like the Standard collet is also used for the gas lenses listed and the cup gasket also. So I'm guessing these are what is considered a "small" gas lens. They don't list a gas lens cup for the 1/8 but looking around it may be a 53N61S.Thanks.
Reply:I don't know Esab parts, but the Weldcraft 9 series ( aircooled), 20 series ( water cooled) and CK "2" series torch parts are all interchangeable as far as I know.http://www.arc-zone.com/pdf/2series.pdfhttp://www.weldcraft.com/parts-accessories/.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Thanks DSW.Looking at those links and others, those of the 20 series all consistently have the same part numbers throughout. So I presuming (not assuming) they are interchangable. The torch itself looks like a Weldequip torch from the UK. Then again, mine is the ESAB, so that would make sense.
Reply:The old Linde/Union Carbide torchs were labeled HW for Heli-Weld. The HW20 was the grandfather of the 20 torches. Any Esab parts will fit and most of the aftermarket, but not all will work. Only problem with Esab is the quality went to crap.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
Reply:Thought I'd do a little followup. My LWS is Toll and they carry the ESAB line. They couldn't find a listing for the #8 cup. So I went to Airgas to compare the ESAB torch parts to what they had (Radnor). Looks like the parts are pretty much standardized. They had the #8 cup which is 53N61S.The #5 & #6 cups at Toll, $5.40 ea. The #7 & #8 at Airgas, $1.50 ea. Hmmmm! Time to reactivate that account for consummables. I haven't really shopped there since they dropped the Saturday hours. |
