Does Mig make more sense for low carbon steel?

I've been learning the art of Tig welding.  It's vey exciting to be able to make such good looking welds in all kinds of material, even thin stuff.  I really like the ability to go slow.But when it comes to welding low carbon or medium carbon steel (like tubing/angle iron), doesn't the Mig make more sense?  Faster and cheaper for sure.Thanks,Walt

Reply:I'm not an artist.  I use my welders for boats, trailers, shelves, racks, ATV projects, and etc.  I have a small machine shop and once in a while I have to weld something for a customer.  That's why I got the tig, I want the work to look good and my mig is just too fast for some things.Thanks,Walt
