I have a P&H welder, model #DAR300HFGW (DARHF). Its an ACDC high frequency welder. My question is, does anybody know how to set this grandpa up for aluminum tigging? I know I need straight Argon and pure tungsten, but Im hung on the settings for the welder. My welder is really old, I think roughly late 50's. Its huge and green...I nicknamed it the HULK lol.Any advice would be great guys Thanks a millDJ

Reply:Is your foot pedal plugged in? In AC mode? Does the HF kick on in "inert gas arc"?I dont think the gas opens without being in "inert gas arc" modeMy machine wouldn't work in "inert gas arc" without the foot pedal plugs in the machine, even in panel select mode. Problem is with this setting, it seems like its only blowing the aluminum out of the way, sorta make a "valley" in the aluminum plating.Any words of wisdom?
