I do almost all car related stuff, have a Maxstar 150 STL at home I do all my welding there with. Have a Lincoln Precision 175 at my business if I need to weld aluminum. Also have a Miller 200 Mig at work but I do not use it much.Built the chassis for my 89 T-Bird in my home shop with the MaxstarDesigned and built a sheet metal rearend housing for itDesigned in SolidworksIt is sitting on my welding table, nothing elaborate like I see on here, simple frame with a triangular pc of 3/8 aluminum on top of it.

Reply:Wow, that brings back old memories. I used to work at Lorain Assy plant (Ohio) in the years they made the Tbird/Cougar there. Love that car. Don't miss that plant. Its gone now.Mario, That's an amazing job on the rear axle, I can't imagine how you got all the bearings & differential internal supports to line up. Very impressive work. wow!--zip
