Good day gentlemen. New here with a few zillion questions. Im a heavy mechanical contractor and have a couple of 250 amp tig units for when we get in pipe jobs. I also collect just about anything that has a combustion engine in it. I need to weld up fenders and other sheet metal from time to time. My question is could I possibly rig a small air cooled torch on to one of these units to avoid going out and spending a fortune on a new rig to play with my toys. I posted this here because everybody at my local welding supply is to brain dead to answer my quest. The units are Linde model #H-250-HF Serial #B-87G-G7196. I included a pic of the unit. Thanks in advance, Bob
Reply:Hi Bob. In the future try and resize the picts first. This site chops the text when a pict is over a certain size and it's hard to read all the text that goes with it..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:Yes.a 26 series air cooled torch should do you fine until you go over 200A for any length of time.G |
