smoker build need ideas

Hello I'm building a smoker for my future brother in law who i happen to like very much so it has to be top notch. i have built a pig roaster already out of a 275 oil tank  with propane burner built from scratch . so i do have a little knowledge. he wants the smoker to be charcoal fueled any pointers and ideas are greatly appreciated

Reply:My sons building and UDS for a school project. I guess he told them about mine and how much I use it. Once he finishes his I'm going to build another. I'll keep one for home and use the other for when we go camping. Nothing like cooking in an ugly drum.
