I have a job requiring an Incoloy 800 alloy tube (.490 dia. .030 wall) to be assembled into a  .540 dia. hole and then welded to a copper-nickel 90-10 flange (approx. 1" thick). Any good ideas for filler material, and/or special techniques or tips? I'll be using argon helium blend gas and can get any filler I need, I just don't have the information to know what to use.My company provided me with some info, but it only listed copper-nickel to steel, I don't think that will work, given my experience with Incoloy tubing.Any input would be greatly appreciated, Thanx in advance, Steve.
Reply:ERNi will work. there maybe better options depending on service requirements., but it will work.
Reply:My advice is to pick up the phone and talk to a technical rep from Metrode.  They will set you straight.
Reply:what application is this for?only reason I ask is that generally if a company is paying that much for some specialty alloys, it's usually serious enough that they'll be wanting a WPS and a PQR. I would give the  material manufacturer a call as they would probably set you in the right direction.
