Can a red face have a grayish plate?

The guy said it was a 69 red face, but isn't the plate supposed to red? I can't read the numbers off the plate in the picture. I'm trying to get him to send me the code off it. Any info would help thanks.
Reply:It looks like its faded from red over time, the lugs are on the front of the machine and the aux power has been updated, it's got steel knobs which is good, it is a newer model though based on the one piece tin that is the front of the machine a pic of the generator will let u know if its legit, anyways if its got a round generator it's a red face and 69 seems close based on the pic u got
