Welder have affect on other electronics plugged in?

Yep I know it's a silly question. I never had this problem at my last house and had a 2 car garage with a 15amp circuit and 4 rooms (garage included) were all on the same 15amp circuit. Lights, welder, radio etc etc were always running.Now the new place I have a 1 car garage and 20amp circuit for the garage only. Here is what is plugged in:Tig welderLarge power strip then that connects to a small power strip Larger power strip, here is what is plugged in.My old school iphone with 2gb ipodSmall power strip, stuff plugged in like battery chargers but it's all turned off.Other outlet, garage light, and overhead light.That's it, 2 small lights, the welder and a small radio. I like to have some music playing but 9 out of 10 times when I strike the arc with my tig welder the ihome stops playing. Reply:There is serious RF noise from a welder as well as the voltage drop on the circuit, either of which digital electronics (and a lot of electronics in general) hate . . . I used to have a turntable that that would stop if I keyed my 2w 2 way radio in the room . . . Harmful? Hard to tell . . .- Tim
Reply:Couple of years ago, our neighbors had a new garage door installed. Everytime the lady came home and hit her remote opener, our TV would come on. Never had the time to see if it would turn off when she left.Now I'm thinking of Randy Quaid's skull plate vs the microwave oven in Family Vacation
Reply:When i Tig in the garage I have to unplug the garage door opener or the Tig will make the garage door motor cycle up and down at every arc strike
