I posted a question April 28, 2011 about cutting off a culvert that was all under water. Some one suggested using an oxyaceline tourch to do it, and the water can not be drained off or pumped down/out of the pond. See photo at other post.Does any one have suggestions on how to do this.Does the inside of the culvert have to completely dry, free of water? How much water can be on the bottom of the culvert and the tourch still cut the galvanized steel metal. Are there any fumes from the galvanized metal being cut I should be concerned with? How much heat do I need to apply to the steel metal before applying oxygen to the cut? What should the flame at the end of the tourch look like to cut under water?Any special cutting tourch head I should use?Any other comments would be appreciated.

Galvanized will produce toxic fumes.
