im a high school student in my 3rd year of welding. right now im working on aluminum tig. my current machine is a miller dynasty 200 im using 2% thoriated tungsten and have tried various filler rods also the shielding gas is pure argon. i was hoping to get some advice for a vertical lap joint on 3/16 in. im stuck and will appreciate any advice i can get.

Reply:Thanks it seems to be running smoother but I'm still having trouble holding the puddle together. Any good ways to better control the heat affected zone?
