2 or 3 years ago I was given some made in USA Radnor 6010. I just got around to using it, and I really like it. But now I understand Hobart Brothers has outsourced the manufacturing on this rod to Afghanistan. Has anybody used both USA made and Afghanistan made 6010? Did you notice any difference in the quality of arc? Thanks for your time! Reply:I know Hobart Brothers made "radnor" (Airgas) smaw electrodes at one time. I don't know about the stick electrodes, but the "Radnor" label is pure crap in the MIG wire department. Anything with the "Radnor" label on it and I'm throwing it in the garbage. I also hate Airgas, because all of their "stuff" is just junk. So if their 6010 went to Afghanistan, I'd say it's hit absolute "rock bottom" for quality. Have your ever tried Lincoln Fleetweld? Reply:Over the last several years of buying inverter welders I've convinced myself these machines perform better with one brand of rod over the other. My Lincoln V350-Pro, and Everlast PA-200 just love ESAB's Atom Arc 7018. But a member on another site brings is Longevity Stickweld 250 over for me to help him with his welding, that machine performs better with Lincoln's Excalibur 7018! My V350-Pro really likes ESAB's 10-P, and 10P-Plus 6010, but just trying this Radnor 6010 it performs the same as 10-P. The funny thing to me, my SA-200s could care less what brand of rod you use!
