First time with gas... and a couple questions

Just got my first tank of gas today. 60cf cylinder w/ an 86/14 mix. Hooked it up as soon as I got home and tested it out. What a difference! (at least to my noob eyes)Settings on the HH140 were 4/40 on 1.5" x 1/8" square tube flowing 20cfm.This is before the gas... (dragging the gun)Here's a couple with the gas... (pushing the gun)And a before and after together...Now the questions...The beads with the gas seem to have a gray coloring to them. Not sure what I was expecting, maybe shinier? Does the color seem right, and is it even important?Also, when I hooked my gauge to the new tank, I was expecting somewhere around 1500psi, but it barely read 500psi. Doesn't that seem low? It is a small tank, but still...And finally, how do the beads look? Reply:Thanks. I'll try a bit hotter and see how that does.I think I'm going to remove the gauge and check everything over again. Reply:Make sure you didnt do what I did,  I got a lincoln 180 and started with flux, then switched to gas, I was getting a lot of splatter but thought it was normal.  I didnt know that I had to switch the polairty from reverse (the way it came) to normal!   I havent got to try it out yet I lost my adapter to run the 8" spools of wire. But cant wait to try it out now.  Im a Dufus
