Hey y'all.  Bought a "new" welder yesterday, and by new I mean used.  It's a '09 Miller Trailblazer Pro 350D with the Kubota diesel.  Gave $8k for it on a nice trailer with a Jobox and bottle racks on it.  Now I'll have to cut my truck bed up to fit the new welder on.  I currently have a older Miller Trailblazer 301g mounted on the driver side of the bed, running parallel along the side of the bed.  The bed originally was a "texas style" pipeliner bed, but long ago I welded some mounts for two winches and a headache rack in place of where the welder should be. Ill be cutting all that back out, and put the new welder along the back of the cab where it ought to be.  I will also build some toolboxes to take the place of where my 301 currently resides. You can kind of see where the winches are now, and will be coming out.In the field: '06 Ram 3500/Miller PP350    '14 F-350/Lincoln Classic 300DIn the shop: MM252, Hypertherm PM-85, White face MM200
Reply:Hey man nice score on the miller. Found a similar machine last year but didn't have the cash, oh well. By the way would you mind posting some pics of your gin pole setup, I want to put a set together and I'm trying to look at as many as I can before I start. Thanks.Ranger 250 GXTSmith Gas Axe
Reply:will do, probably tomorrow as its storming here pretty good now.  The miller was a pretty good score, I forgot to mention it only has 126hrs on it!In the field: '06 Ram 3500/Miller PP350    '14 F-350/Lincoln Classic 300DIn the shop: MM252, Hypertherm PM-85, White face MM200
Reply:Congrats! That sounds like a great deal. What do those go for new? I'm guessing $10K. Yep, and lots of pics."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Both the po and an Airgas salesman that we happened to stop in at on the way out of town said he paid over $12k for it.  He used it as a generator to put up a steel building, and then had a hired hand put up some fences for him.  The stinger lead had a 4ga. whip, so I'm just guessing that it wasn't used to it's full potential! lolIn the field: '06 Ram 3500/Miller PP350    '14 F-350/Lincoln Classic 300DIn the shop: MM252, Hypertherm PM-85, White face MM200
Reply:Before I started cutting the headache rack out, snapped a pic.  I had already taken the D bar off, but other than that you get the idea.In the field: '06 Ram 3500/Miller PP350    '14 F-350/Lincoln Classic 300DIn the shop: MM252, Hypertherm PM-85, White face MM200
Reply:Here's how the gin poles are mounted, I didn't cut them off, just took the bolt out In the field: '06 Ram 3500/Miller PP350    '14 F-350/Lincoln Classic 300DIn the shop: MM252, Hypertherm PM-85, White face MM200
Reply:Got the welder mounted up anyways. Had to use 4" channel iron under the welder to space it up high enough to get to the bolt holes.  I drilled holes in the channel iron and welded some 1/2" bolts as studs for bolting the welder down.My in-shop welding rig.  Snap-on 250SL and my new Hypertherm PowerMax45 made quick work of cutting the headache rack outIn the field: '06 Ram 3500/Miller PP350    '14 F-350/Lincoln Classic 300DIn the shop: MM252, Hypertherm PM-85, White face MM200
