Here's a cargo rack I built a few years ago.  I used 2" angle iron and welded chain links around in order to hook my bungie cords.  It's a bit heavy, but that's what I like about it.  I can stand on the corner of it without any bending.  The store bought ones are too flimsy. Reply:I'll see what I can do about the under side pics.   The posted pic was taken right after I finished it with a fresh paint job, I think in 2004.  I'll take a new pic of the underneath soon.  you'll also be able to see how well it's aged.  I use that thing all the time.  It really has stood up to a lot of foul treatment and is still going strong.  I have recently added more chain links around the edge for tie downs.http://www.youtube.com/user/c599209/videos
