Ok, when it rains it pours. I was about to pull the trigger on the Millermatic 135 (110v) yes bottle, no regulator for $350  then I found a Lincoln Promig 175 (220v) with bottle AND reg for $400The red one is a multi tap but has higher output. The blue one has the burnback feature and infinite power settingsWhat to do...red or blue?I go to the bank in a couple hours...
Reply:If your electrical system can support 220v machine then I would get the 175 promig.
Reply:But....the 110v lets you move it around. What are you welding?(thickness)just messin' around or job/serious hobby? Need portability or not? These answers should solve your dilemma. 200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.
Reply:Pretty rare for someone to say "Let me sell my 240V welder and get a 120V machine instead".  Most of the time someone gets a 120 machine and then runs into its power limitations and then gets a 240 Machine.Sometimes they keep the 120 machine for sheetmetal and small tasks, sometimes they sell it off. What do you need/want to weld?  Do you have or can you get 240V power?  Portability of those two machines is about the same, but feeding power at 'other' places may or may not be an issue for the 240V machine.Your call.  Me?  I'd go for the 240V machine.  But I put in 240V power after running into the thickness/power limitations of a 120V machine.    The best laid schemes ... Gang oft agley ...
Reply:I LOVE my MM 135, but it would be nice to have a little more power.  It depends on what you want to do, and what power you have available, and your future plans.  I plan on getting a bigger TIG to take care of the thick stuff, and like the portability of the little 110v.  If you want this to be your only welder, get the 175, but if you want to have this and another welder, get the 135.Millermatic 135Syncrowave 250
Reply:I have the red pro mig 180 with gas and bottle (similar to the one you are looking at), and it does right by me. I have not run into situations that the tapped power selector has caused me a terrible amount of grief. I am definitely glad I did not opt for 110.
Reply:My problem solved itself. The red promig 175 guy would not return my calls in tome so I went with the MM135. The MM has a lot of miles, trigger is broke and there is no bottle or reg but I got it for $200. I figure I can replace the trigger and buy a small bottle and regulator and still have equity.I agree that I would have prefered the 220v class machine but I was just getting too frustrated waiting for it to come along. This machine will do 99% of everthing I want to do and if a bigger one comes along some day I can buy it and still make $ on this oneThanks for the help guys!

Reply:Can anyone reccomend a place to buy a trigger? I believe it has a M-10 gun. Is the dealer the best bet?
Reply:The M10 is expensive for what it is. I had a Miller DVI and the M10 broke quickly. I found a roughneck on ebay for less than 100 brand new. I got lucky but it may take a little time. There are also some compatible off brands that work well. I dont know about ordering just a trigger, but you should ask your local guy about getting parts for that gun.UA Local 598
Reply:Went to Airgas:Trigger - $24Small spool of .023 - $8Small bottle w/ co2 - $77went to harbor Frieght:Co2 regulator - $34Total with $200 cost of welder = $343I am happy
