Recently aqquired a certanium box with id say 3 different types of rods ones i believe silver or red and says 700 on it. Ill get the exact colors and numbers later.
Reply:Certanium rods are very sweet to run. They make many different alloys. I have run 702 on carbon steel. 707 on dissimilar metals and I believe 777 on stainless.Fortunatly for me I wasnt paying for these rods.. They are expensive and they are not certified for code work. Thats the 2 disadvantages of certanium alloys. The advantages of certanium rods are how sweet they run. Certanium has some very nice rods for cast iron and chrome molly work.JasonLincoln Idealarc 250 stick/tigThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52Miller Bobcat 250Torchmate CNC tableThermal Arc Hefty 2Ironworkers Local 720
