hello, just picked up a miller bobcat 225d, has the deutz/ruggerini md 151 diesel engine. the welder has been sitting for a while so im going to change the oil filter and 2 fuel filters. does anybody know where to look up what filters will replace the miller/deutz filters. ive searched a little on the web with no luck. none of the cross reference charts i have found contain the miller/deutz part numbers.
Reply:look on web for a deutz dealer
Reply:In my search for info on the Deutz md 151 engine found in older Bobcat 225d's, I found that it was a common small air cooled diesel used in agricultural machines, portable pumps and generators. I would do a search on what products have the md 151 installed. Dealers that deal in italian machines, Iveco, Fiat, etc. or older dealers with new old stock in their back room. I also found an online agricultural supply catalog called Cermag that has the engine parts.Last edited by kraz; 02-07-2013 at 12:39 PM.
Reply:Hello all,Further research has revealed those with the 225d with the Deutz md 151 diesel, that another Italian company Ruggerini obsorbed the Deutz line, maintaining the same numbers that Deutz had. Since then, another Italian company called Lombardini obsorbed the Deutz/Ruggerini lines into their product line. It is a currently produced engine with spares and all. It is the Lombardini 25ld330-2. Since either 2007 or 2009, Kohler purchased Lombardini so chances are you won't have to learn Italian to troubleshoot or buy parts for this engine. I contacted Lombardini USA in Georgia and was told that depending where you're located, Kohler warehouses ,located in Ohio in my case, is the location of my parts for this engine.Hoping this helps those with these engines.
Reply:I will post the number for the canister type filter in the am I went through the same thing. For the in line filter I replaced it with a diesel in line off a hagie sprayer I will post that number also. It has worked great ever since!White Face DialArcMM252Miller Bobcat 225D plusHypertherm 600
Reply:Did you try NAPA auto parts store? They have a pretty good cross reference and available filters."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Sorry for the delay. Oil filter: Hastings lf494, fuel main ff896, secondary ff946. The 946 fuel filter has a tab bit bigger hose barb ends but they will push into the hose. Hope this helps .White Face DialArcMM252Miller Bobcat 225D plusHypertherm 600 |
