What do you guy's think? This is my 2 1/2 year old nephew. He is addicted to tools as it is.When the day comes, my answer, HELL YES! Would have absolutely no problem teaching him.kidtigger24 Attached Images  They think I’m crazy, but I know better. It is not I who am crazy. It is I who am MAD!
Reply:If I had the chance to learn at that age I would of been all over it. Start him now he will be one hell of a welder when he gets older.
Reply:AWESOME !  Never too young or too old. Need smaller torch. Get him a Miller Dynasty for Christmas !!!!! But yes, it will have to stay at your house.

Reply:WOW, that kid could be a twin to one of my grandsons. You are lucky! I have 4-grandsons, none of them will get within 100-feet of my shop, unless they want me to air up a tire on their bicycle. Reply:Even my 9 year old daughter is into tig welding. She really doesn't care for mig, and doesn't even want to try stick. Here's what she did after sitting down with the tig torch on her own for a while. She ran some without filler before trying some greater coordination with filler. I'm just a farmer, but I'm glad she has an appreciation for building and repairing out machinery. Lincoln Precision Tig 185Lincoln Power Mig 256Hypertherm PM 45Everlast 140STSmith O/A

Reply:I would keep him away from that TIG if I were you unless you can afford the latest Syncrowave fancy pulser TIG machine costing 7K for Christmas. LOL. Really cool if he's on board go for it, could be the Doogie Hauser of welding by the time he's 12. Might end up with a yard full of custom chassis 4x4's though."Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DCMillermatic 251   Syncrowave 300   30A spoolgunLincoln MP210Hypertherm 45(2) LN 25(2) Lincoln Weldanpower 225 CV(4) SA200   1 short hood    SA250    SAM 400
