relocated from So Cal to Tennessee need some rate info

From what I can tell but not sure it looks like there isnt to many other welding services in the area, we are 40 minutes to Nashville, Ft Camble is right near by, and I cant recall who else is near hear, I think Brucer but not sure who else.  and would like to know what a going rate for the area might support.  So Cal rated are not going to be the same as here, so would appreciate any input I could get.Thanks

Reply:Thanks Killer, it was a tough, rough,bumpy ride but we all made it in one piece.  As for what we can do, well we can mig, tig, stick.  I am better at tig than my son, he is better with stick, and he is catching up with mig.  We ran a mobile repair service in So Cal for big rigs, heavy equipment, and also did metal art stuff.  I have been still working on the metal art stuff here, and my son looking for more full time stuff.  We do have a lead on some high end gate and fence work that needs to be done and would hate to see it go away because they thinke we are to high.  thanks for the hi's and input.
Reply:I'm in Nashville. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I see out of work weldors on CL offering to barter their services all the time. IMO, either poke around the base and see if they need any work done or come down to Nashville because everything is more expensive here. You could put some flyers in the truck stops, ads on CL and see what you can get.There are a lot of farms in areas surrounding Nashville. You could go over to the feed stores, TSC and put up flyers. Reply:Thanks for the info, it doesnt sound much different than most other places right now, even though some think it is getting better, i think we havent seen the end of the tough times yet.hyper therm, esab, miller, a 22,380, 45acp,  223. 308, 12 guage and a 9 mil the 45 is for ccw, a 9mil will kill the body, the 45 will kill the soul.
