First weld in 40 years, comments needed!

]So here is my first practice weld since highschool(40 years). Seems strong? Yes it is ugly. All thoughts appreciated, I'm here to learn.  Now fire away.  P.S. right side was first, left I got a little better.  Had a nice breeze blowing so I didn't bother to grind off galvanizing. The hand rail I need to weld/repair is the same material, but i'll have to weld vertically and upsidedown.
Reply:I think you should start with surfacing to get the feel of things.
Reply:Did not bother to get the galvy off?Then you need to start at ground ZERO once again.FAIL....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Burning off the galvanizing is not as good as grinding it off? It burns off way before the metal puddles. How about brazing, can the braze stick on the galvanizing?
Reply:the heat of welding/burning of the galvanzed is part of the problem it allows the chemicals to burn. Grind them off is much better as it doesn't allow the chemicals to burn. At least not as much.I'd get comfortable welding on a flat surface first than move to tubing. it will make the tubing that much easier to master.There are no problems. There are only solutions.
