I bought Lincoln SA200. Runs well, new water pump, new cables with remote control. Mounted on a trailer with new tires. Magneto may be a bit temperamental, we'll see.I paid $500. How did I do?I'm pretty excited about it.Paul
Reply:Here's a bad pic. Will post better one later. I s/w Lincoln today and they said this machine was manufactured in 1967 with 100% copper windings. We we able to lay down a few nice beads. I don't have any real stick experience but I think I understand what others have said about a very soft arc. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this machine.Paul Attached Images

Reply:Nice find all right. It's tidier than my SAM 400 220 for the same number of slightly smaller dollars! About 367 of your dollars, it is a runner ( but not yet a welder!)The latest in a long line of projects."One of the things we have to be thankful for is that we don't get as much government as we pay for." Reply:Paul ya' know ya' got a great deal and all that kicking of sand with the boot and going "aw shucks" ain't gonna' make anyone feel any better about it Green envy is a mean li'l beastieRight after I found those two I bought early this summer, neither of which run at the moment, and cost me $400 each... right after that, I have seen on Cl etc. about 1/2 dozen good deals. Had no more need and no more $ so it was a moot point. There is a requirement on the site? I think, for you to now make some very kool project with said SA200 to redeem yourself. enjoyLincoln Power MIG 215Lincoln WeldPak 3200HDLincon ProCut 25Lincoln WeldanPower 225 AC/DCIf all else fails... buy more tools
