New Lincoln and First Project

Hello, I am 36 years old and have been wanting to learn to weld for years.  I finally bought a Lincoln 3200HD welder and this is my first project.  Welding cart made from some 1" angle, 1" box and some scrap expanded steel my buddy gave me.  Its a work in progress and I am building on the fly.......
Reply:Hey man, I like your tractor!! And your cart, looks to be really well thought out especially the longer front and bottom pieces for stability. I too used expanded metal on my mig cart, it keeps dust and dirt from gathering under and around the welder. Welcome to the forum!! Reply:Haha I weld and fabricate with full shoes, gloves, pants, and my old race car fire jacket haha. Sandals are for pictures!!!  the hd3200 is a nice welder. The thing makes some good heat on 115v. I figured the cart was the best first project. I buy slot of old busted tractors and bring them back to life. Every time I need something welded I had to drive 30 miles to a friend and that became a pain. Now I can fix some stuff by myself!!!  Learning everyday.
