Hey guys,                 about to build another welding table, however this one will be for tig welding. ill be making stainless steel benchs and such with RHS being about 1.6 - 2.2mm thick.                 Just wondering if a 6mm thick table top be enough? or should i go to a 8mm thick one? it will be 2400mm x 1200mm. i wont be welding anything to it or bashing anything. solely for lining up and welding.Cheers
Reply:I don't see why it wouldn't. If you're not beating on it (you say that now) then it's just got to support the weight of the peice on it. not the blunt force of a hammer. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
