Hey y'all!!So, my current BBQ project is just a few man hours from being done, and it's got me thinking about my next one.I'd really like to do a trailer mounted BBQ, and I've been thinking of how best to go about it.I have a 60 gallon air tank that's a willing volunteer for the build. I just need a trailer to put it on I've thought about buying a good, used boat trailer from Craigslist, shortening it, removing the "racks" that would hold the boat, and securing my tank in place...It's just an idea I had, and yes, I know I said the "T" word, but I wanted y'all's advice on this. Any thoughts?Seems like a low milage boat trailer, that's designed to move long and tall objects and that can be bought cheap would be a great platform for this. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance...[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009
Reply:A boat trailer would sure be strong enough but around here most are aluminum. Would that work for what you're planning?

Reply:I work at marinas and rebuild boat trailers into landscape type trailers all the time, they are all standard axle parts.  Should be a perfect match for a BBQ.
Reply:Yeah, you might even get lucky after you remove the carpeted rails and find that the metal mounts are just right for setting the bottom half of the tank onto.I think that's a great idea for a boat trailer. A 60 gallon tank might even fight on a personal watercraft trailer, then you wouldn't need to shorten it.PapaLincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175
Reply:As said above would a jet ski trailer work better? Only reason I bring it up is because a 60 gallon tank is quite small. You will likely not need to shorten one either. Find one that hauls doubles and you have one side for hauling the wood as well.
Reply:Send me a pm with an email and I'll send you a bunch of pictures that my buddy's welding class built.  There are a lot of good ideas there.
Reply:Harbor Freight has brand new trailers for under $200.http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...res-42708.html
Reply:Or look for a used axle and build the frame yourself. If it was me I would use whatever I find cheapest
