Been a long time lurker here. love to see everyones work. I am a shadetree welder that spends my spare time making BBQ smokers and competing in BBQ contests . My son wanted to take a crack at it and I let him. here he is practicing on flat steel and his first attempt at joining 2 pieces. By the way he is only 6. by the way he did that by himself !Michael

Reply:I just wished my beads looked that good...
Reply:great. my 4yr old boy wants to try welding but told him when hes older.will tell him he can when hes 6.mind you both him and his 3yr old sister are surgically attached to workshop.
Reply:My son has also used the plasma cutter. he thinks that is the best thing!
Reply:ummmm.... last I checked plasma cutters were the best thing. Yup, they still are! There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:That's great, and I feel much better now. I thought maybe I let my son start too young. He's 8, and made his first weld this past weekend. I think I created a monster, and the only thing I can do now is feed it more scrap metal...
Reply:I'm affraid my 9 yr old will be like that too. Don't have enough scrap to feel a monster like that yet. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger |
