I had to make some welding blanket frames to hold my welding blankets, had to protect the garage from hot sparks.

Reply:I had a vision of one of those frames they use to display hand woven Indian blankets and so on. Not quite the same thing...Nice work. I hadn't thought about using them quite that way..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:Nice job! I'd make one but I just tell people "don't look at the blue light".
Reply:66mynd is thinking along the same lines as I am,, that blanket is pretty low to keep people from getting "eye balled" with the arc! this is supposed to be a safety item,,, keeping the sparks in control is one thing but why not lift it up to protect the innocent passerby??

Reply:See, now I have another project to do. This would help when I have to weld in my driveway and my neighbors house is only 12 feet from mine with the drive in between.Come try it out and stay a while.
Reply:Very nice... I'm new to the trade. Is it sturdy enough? What size is that 1"?
Reply:im concerned that the sparks will land on the boxes on the shelves and the flames will go through the roof ...i like the frames tho..
Reply:i hang tubing from the ceiling , like with those small chains that hold your flourescent lamp but a little heavier, on each end of the pipe ............then use shower curtain rings , makes great particians from body working areas , welding , painting. And takes up zero floor space. thermal arc 252i - millermatic 350P - miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs - Hypertherm 1250 G3
