My son bought a 5 light floor lamp on sale for $9.99 at Lowes a few years ago because he wanted the heavy stand. I kept the rest of it and have taken the light fixtures apart to build 4 of these little lights. They don't take up much room, cheap to build, durable, and work for me. I use a weather box and outside switch cover to keep out grinding dust and metal chips. The lights have 1/8" pipe threads, so a 1/2" x 1/8" bushing works great. A little lamp cord, 1/2" floor base, 1/2" nipple, and a bolt or small C-clamp is all it takes. (Sorry, I realized the floor base got caught off when trying to shrink the picture).Just thought someone else might get an idea. Reply:I have 1 on my Evo saw, 1 on bench grinder, 1 on drill press, made 1 for my buddy's grinder, and have 1 light fixture left. Now what could I do with that one?Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com |
