Switch leads on a dc+ welder?

Hi guys, quick question, feels like a dumb one, I have a hobart 8500 champion gen welder on my truck, it's dc+ only, if I switch my leads it should make it dc- right? thanks for any help
Reply:it is not the machine that is + or - . it is referring to what the electrode is connected to. every welder has a + and a -. some have a switch to let you select what the electrode is, on other machines you plug the leads into holes marked + and - ..
