Well I've been wanting to build a bobber for quite some time. I could never found a good deal on a potential bike. I just so happen to stumble across this little guy 2 weeks ago for 200 bucks. So now the little guy is going to be my ride to school. Just thought i would share ... Attached ImagesOwner G&S Mobile Welding & Millwright Services, LLCSpencerville, Ohio Adult Ed. Reply:Aint it fun welding on the paper thin Japanese frames. Looks good. Ive chopped a seca 400 and a Honda cj360. All made of free scrap  (including the bikes lol), came out alright. Silk purse sows ear kinda thing. Really wished I wouplda put the effort into bigger bikes, but I guess I had to start small. I was gonna turn my ex girlfriend into a bobber, but the schooling woulda taken forrever so I traded up.MLM
Reply:AWESOME! Can't wait to see how it comes out. Keep track of how much this project costs and how many hours you put forth. Reply:It looks really long, you might want to set the motor in it and a seat on it and see how it looks from afar. otherwise looks like a fun project
Reply:Awesome build.Might also think about putting this up on www.customfighters.com, they love this stuff. My username is the same on there.

Reply:black and silver is my vote!!
Reply:Black and copper....barf. Never comes out right. But that's just from my view. How 'bout flat flat/satin black with gloss black bits to highlight. Again, my view only, but I'll second the nixing of the megaphone. Too much of a focus point and draws away from the rest too much. Maybe cut it down to a trumpet type bell and wrap.....?I'll keep bumping!200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.

Reply:Hey guys back here for a another weekly update of the bike.. im going to start this off by saying yesterday was one of the worst days i had in a very long time. My father was put in ICU early in the morning. I cam home from the hospital to grab some stuff. Then went ot leave and ran over our cat had to sit there for over a hour and pet here til she slowly passed away.. she was a fighter... so beings that i dont drink or anything of sorts i had to find something to get my mind off things. So i decided to start the wiring on the bike and see if she will fire up. and in the process i made out bad *** cat a head stone .. Reply:Tough day indeed. Great job on the bike so far. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you made the right choice in how to handle a tough day! That electric work would slow me way down on a project like that. Those relays always are a pain. Keep up the good work. Keep looking forward.
Reply:WoW!!!Hang in there Russ..Hope dad will be OK..If I ever ran my cat over I'd shoot myself..Hope everything turns out for the better even if it don't look good now.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Hope your dad is fine, sorry about the cat, that just sucks.I forgot how to change this.
Reply:Sorry to hear about your dad, hope he get well soon.Your cat's in a better place now all dogs and cats go to heaven. The bike looks awsome, check out this sitewww.chopcult.com you get lots of ideas for your bike there.
Reply:Thanks Guys,.. yea she was a good cat lol she never ever slept around cars.. but with any animal can judge what there gonna do. She had a place in my heart. I called her cat-dog cause she was like a dog would roll over if you told her to and would sit also. she would come if you called her just weird stuff for a cat haha.. but did get some news on the old man hes doing better they found some stuff and gonna be going in to surgery prolly so things are lookin good. Im going to try to get all thr wiring situated on the bike and go from there! anyone have any good ideas on rollin a peace of thing guage sheet metal in to a circle with out a roller.. I need to make a fake oil take under the seat area to put all the wires for the bike in..Owner G&S Mobile Welding & Millwright Services, LLCSpencerville, Ohio Adult Ed. Reply:My condolences about your cat, tough day for d**n sure.Depending on what width and thickness, I've taken a piece of pipe slightly smaller than what you need, clamp the material to it and pull it around. Mark the length you'll need on the flat stock before you pull it around so you'll know where to cut, you'll have a bit more material to work with that way.....Mike
Reply:cool Ive built a few bikes used to build frames for jap bikes kinda starting to get back in it again heres a few pics of mine ive built.
Reply:God damn No.2, those are that shinto right there!!!!!!!
