Increasing output of #30 tip

I have a Purox (now ESAB) Metal Master. I mainly use it for heating and bending steel and for cutting steel over 1/2". Most of my farm work is done with the Bobcat, MIG and Spectrum 625.I was wondering if I could enlarge the hole on the #30 tip to increase its output for faster heating of the metal? I don't weld with it just need to heat and bend metal etc. I  don't use it enough to justify spending nearly $70 for  a rosebud tip.
Reply:You could give it a shot. Worst outcome, ya trash a tip. (Don't throw it away if you do, they can be threaded for other screw-on tips.)By the way. Oxweld/Purox/etc stuff goes cheep on Ebay.I just a W-300 handle with rosebud off Ebay for 4.95 plus about 8 bucks shipping! It's the holiday season where people dump stuff for not much at all.
