I do alot of work on old vws and I the arms always get stuck in the beam and usually you have to give it some love to get them out an some of the bugs I do have painted arms and im always afraid to scratch them. So today I came up with a pulled with stuff laying Around the shop. 1 3/8 Shaft clamp I put in the lathe and opened it up to 1.450 from 1.375 so it could clamp on the arm.. I'm sure there's a tool made for vw arms just never seen on. Also I some delrin that goes on the beam so it doesn't get scratched.. These pictures are from my Baja that I don't care if it gets scratched. SIN CITY METAL WORKSvisit my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/devvon
