The LWS nearby where we get all our steel only has a few random pieces of aluminum...Any decently priced online supply houses out there?ThermalArc 181i | Lotos WS200

Reply:zeus_r6Aluminum historically, hasn't had the demand, universal workability, or available of steel for the common user, ie. a farmer with a buss-box.Consequently, the aluminum supply chain, and its availability is different then steel - primarily because only manufactures had welding capability. In short, aluminum suppliers catered to manufactures who purchasedlarge quantities for a specific product - equals no retail availability. With the advent of low-end spool guns and wire welders, aluminum insmall quantities is more in demand. Still, easy access to small quantities has lagged behind demand, even in urban areas. The only exception is www.metalsupermarkets.com/ Billed as The Convenience Stores For Metal.Their search function reports: two outlets in GA, none in FL.I have a local outlet and use them weekly, diverse inventory, no minimum.
