I decided I wanted to finish a few things for once on my car. I built a little square tube cross member. Instead of the stock mustangs that only bolted from frame rail to frame rail, a good trick is to run the lower control arm bolt into your cross member. I decided to run my bolts straight through the square tube with some round stock inside the square to keep from collapsing. Turned out good I didnt want to spend too much time doing anything fancy and its plenty strong. Dont mind the steering hardware, just for mock up. I added those two bars that run from the harness bar/main hoop and tie into my subframe connectors that I ran thru the floor. And I was messing around with my dimple dies and made some plates to tie into the a pilar. Finally got my rearend in 3.70s, strange iron case, spool, superios axles, and some big brakes HTP Invertig 201Lincoln Idealarc SP250Miller 180 AC StickBy farmall:They should have held the seagull closer to the work, squeezing evenly for best deposition.

Reply:Its for the road course. I have been working on it for a few months now.. I finally got into a "shop" instead of my garage so progress has been way better. The motor is a styrafoam mock up block right now so theres not much to see my motor is at the machine shop. Reply:Wow hows this for a thread revive?? Lets look back this is 2007. Fresh out of high school and 18 years old.. Haha. Now 4 years later I am finally getting this car on track. I am leaving in the morning to run it.. A few things have changed since 4 years ago! I literally cut the entire back half of the car off and did a 3 link full floating 9" with 4.22's. Tex Racing t-101 transmission, 3 disc tilton 7.25" clutch.A lot of this car over the last year has been me trying to clean up a lot of stuff I did (or tried to do) when I was 17 or 18. I am pretty happy with where I have it now. But I will always be refining the car.. Yeah thats a 9" on my cowl panel haha Attached ImagesHTP Invertig 201Lincoln Idealarc SP250Miller 180 AC StickBy farmall:They should have held the seagull closer to the work, squeezing evenly for best deposition. |
