I didn't want to clutter the Mustang thread with these pics, but here's the cage we put in my car. Alan at Blaine Fabrications bent anything that needed bent and then some friends and I fitted it all and installed it. Reply:A few more. My neighbor airbrushed the dash for me. I can't take credit (or blame) for that work, but he does great work!!! Attached ImagesKevinHobart Handler 210Tweco Fabricator 181iLincoln Squarewave Tig 175

Reply:Nice bro,did you use a mig or tig weld?some pics of the rear spoiler?
Reply:I'm confused, why did you need to cut the subframe connectors off to install the cage?I would really reconsider running without SFC's. A roll cage is great, but it doesn't connect the front and rear subframes as ideally as they can. Until your roll cage is essentially creating a complete frame for the unibody car, your cage is just plates that are welded to the flimsy sheetmetal that's nowhere near the subframes. The floor will still flexI hear you with the weight concern though, I think my UMI connectors weighed close to 60 lbs? You can make your own set though, and make them weigh a lot less... Looks like a fun project though. What transmission are you running? T5, T56, TKO?Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire.

Reply:Spoiler. Again, Alan at blainefabrication.com built this one. He does GREAT work. Attached ImagesKevinHobart Handler 210Tweco Fabricator 181iLincoln Squarewave Tig 175
Reply:Any reason you didnt triangulate the roof? If its done right it really can stiffen up the a pillar. I see you have the FIA bar on the driver side, those are a must. Ideally you can run the par to the bend of the a pillar, and then run a halo diagonal back to the main hoop. I have seen a cage fold in half with no fia bar because realistically, what actually supports the a pillar?
