Reply:Nice. Mustang engine bays are a lot of work What are you building for a motor?
Reply:Looks good! I like to try (not always practical or possible) to line up the backstay bars with the halo bar and tie the top of the door bars into the same place as the harness bar. It reduces the tendency for a hard impact to bend an S in the tube between the attachment points. Of course I'm a little OCD too, so don't take this as a negative...I'm just paranoid. The car looks great. Nice job on the fuel cell mounting location, good work. I also like seeing the different paint color on the cage vs the floor. My friends Mustang is done that way. For my car, we had lots of grey paint (we got free from friends at a body shop who painted some trucks for a shipping company...I think my car is "overnight" grey inside but I'm not sure who the company was) so we just sprayed it all one color.KevinHobart Handler 210Tweco Fabricator 181iLincoln Squarewave Tig 175
Reply:That looks really good, I am an industrial/commercial welder and this is the kind if work I envy. My dream job consists of Cars/Welding... Just need to learn GTAW and get more experience.

Reply:You can't go wrong with a power adder. I had a few Vortechs and they made a nice blower. I would love to build a turbo setup in a Mustang. Damn Cali and their inspections.

Reply:Some of the guys on one of the road race forums have had tough times running blower cars on track due to heat soak. They are really difficult to keep cool (cool enough?). There have also been some issues with aluminator engines there too. One came apart pretty quickly and Ford racing straightened out the other one after getting involved with it due to multiple phone calls (I only mention this to say "if something seems wrong, it may be...stop and make some phone calls). Assuming you avoid those issues, that should be seriously quick.KevinHobart Handler 210Tweco Fabricator 181iLincoln Squarewave Tig 175
