Cast Iron plate

A friend of mine gave me a cast iron plate approx 4 feet by 7 feet and 1 inch thick.It has a big semi circle cut out of one side so there is at least 60% of the plate left.It will make (I believe) a pretty decent welding/bending table but I have a problem with it and need some advice.How does one drill through 1 inch of cast iron? I will need to afix this to support legs or something to get it to a proper height. Reply:Cast iron drills easy.  I have drilled through cast iron dry but for 1" thick I would probably  flood it with conventional dark (high sulfur) thread cutting oil to keep the bit cool and sharp.
