Here's a few pics of my bagged and bodydropped 2006 Colorado, it's late so I'm not gonna post a ton of pics right nowThe lower four link bars, set up a stop on the mill so they all cut the same
Reply:My freshly gutted bed that's lined with tubing, that way I can easily sheetmetal it down the road instea of laying sheet metal over factory stuff and grossing it upLaser cut logo fishplates And the truck when I bought itMy new frame rails to replace the junk setup that was on it, this new setup will allow me to lay flat on 24" wheels
Reply:My rear crossmember to hold my valves and all my fittings for a nice clean look instead of having all kinds of ugly fittings That's all for now, I'd post all the other pictures but I'll sum it up by saying you can't fix crap by stacking more crap on, and I knownyou guys don't want to see crap...
Reply:Awesome! I'll definitely have my eye on this one, keep us updated!!
Reply:Your laser cut fish plate is pretty cool. Does it have any strength left after all the cutouts? Can't wait to see the finished project.
Reply:pretty awesome build!  hope you never want to use that car battery again with it sitting on the ground and all...lol
Reply:Looks good cant wait to see finished pics
Reply:Looks like good work. Hope your mods can fix the stupid looking negative camber on the front wheels. With that setup I'm guessing she's a trailer queen.
Reply:The fish plates are pretty beefy so theyll still help significantly, the inside ones probably wont have my design in them for a little more strenght, the battery has been toast for quite a while now hahaha! Thanks for mentioning it tho. And the camber was pretty bad, but I had to change it to that setup to even make it driveable again, the uppers were raised waaaay to high, whoever built the truck should never be allowed to change suspension geometry again, it was borderline dangerous. (also when I changed it I knew very little about suspension geometry and AFTER I did it I learned what should have been done, this truck forced me to read numerous books and articles on suspension lol)Thanks for all the kind words guys I'll try and update as much as I can, its a slow build because work is slow and so is money!Last edited by teckn9ne; 12-07-2010 at 09:16 PM.
Reply:nice work!Ya gotta spend money to make money!
Reply:setting the wheelbaseThe tires here are the same size as a 24" wheel!
Reply:And here we are todayA lot of things have changed been reworked etc. I let the truck sit for two or three months after all of the backhalf was done and it got rusty, next time I will be sure to prime it first!!! cleaning rust sucks! The next step after that will be to sheet metal the bedits removable from the top in case any air ride fails (been there, failed that!)Trying to get it ready for this show season! Thanks for looking.
Reply:This thing is going to be gnarley! I previously owned a bagged and bodied 88 s-10 that my ex-wife was ridiculously jealous of. So much so in fact that she burned every memory of it I had hung in the house after I sold it, not to mention I sold it to hush her up... UGH, I miss that truck...That's a very wise idea to make the bed removable from the top, I also have experienced that when I acquired an air leak and couldn't raise the back of the truck to get under it, it was a real nightmare! However since I am no longer married and have a bit of time and free space in the little work area I have, perhaps its time for a full size build. Maybe a 70's model crew cab dually, with a monsterous big block, tucking big 22.5's.... It's time for another project! The truck looks amazing, Keep us updated!
Reply:Thank you sir! I'm very fond of 88-98 bodystyle full sizes myself, but really most chevys look great flat on the ground. And I also have a round body s10 that's on the back burner
Reply:Very cool, Is that your "buggy" in the back there with the old mustang tails in it?
Reply:That would be one of my grandpas endless projects haha
Reply:Very cool. I am hoping to someday bag and bodydrop the great grandpa to that truck. (my 1980 chevy LUV) If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck is empty."-Grandad circa 1990ish
Reply:Awesome.  I used to be a big fan of the lowered s-10 and blazer scene, till my interests changed.  Still pretty awesome to see quality work being put into this kinda stuff.
Reply:Very nice work sir. The fabrication is second to none. Keep the pics comin as you continue to finish it up.-----------------------------------------------------ThanksKenVan Ness BuildersboocrewproductionMidnight Haunters SocietyBeyond Midnight
Reply:Not my cup of tea, but VERY impressive work!!  Lookin really good.JoeMiller 140 Autoset (2010)Miller Syncrowave 250 (1996)
Reply:24x10" KMC SS wheels, narrowed the rear 6.375", just finished priming everything and temporary reassembling to drive around and pull in out and of the shop...And my shop logo sprayed onto the fuel cell!
Reply:It sure looks looks top notch, but I'd worry about the bending force you are placing on those lower links.
