I got this Wilton vise for free from a friend and while I could have just mounted it to my table, which isn't done yet, I decided to refinish the whole thing instead. I don't know how old it is, but it is "Made in USA." I spent about an hour wire-wheeling the whole thing in 3 separate pieces and then I put on 2 coats of red spray paint that I had laying around. I'm really pleased with how it came out. Before:After:Last edited by DanRT; 01-08-2012 at 12:13 AM.

Reply:Thank you much.
Reply:Why won't my pictures stay small? I resized them on Photobucket, but they just won't stay the size I set them to for my thread.

Reply:I resized them and they kept jumping back and forth between the huge original size and the resized image, but now it seems to be fine. I don't use Photobucket that often, at least I haven't been up until this point. Now I'm finally starting to get my little metal shop all together so I'll be posting projects and stuff more often. I started working on a little filler wire holder last night, so I'll probably have pics up of that soon. Getting it for free from a friend saved me a decent amount of money. I mentioned to him that I was going to buy a new bench vise and he said that he had 2 that I could pick from. I chose the 5" because the other one was like an 8" or something monstrous. Good luck on finding one of your own!
