Hey yall!! Just got a little time today to play around with the 187 and some .035" Hobart flux-core wire. I was running on 1/4", and some 3/8" scrap mostly, but thats no to say there isnt any 3/16" in there too somewhere. Just getting some under the hood time. Im looking for any tips, pointers, etc you all can give me. I haven't done a lot of FCAW, but I really like the process, boy is it fast. Anyway, I hope this post finds everyone well. Thanks in advance [Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009

Reply:I don't see anything particularly cold. The toes seem fused, no undercut. The only thing I see which is very slight is that straight line down the middle of the first pics, maybe moving a hair too fast. Not bad. City of L.A. Reply:It does look really good! I agree with tanglediver, maybe just a tad too fast on the travel speed. What about trying just a little up and down movement, wash the toes of the weld in a little more?Dont pay any attention to meIm just a hobbyist!CarlDynasty 300V350-Pro w/pulseSG Spool gun1937 IdealArc-300PowerArc 200ST3 SA-200sVantage 400 |
