I am new to the forum and new to plasma cutting. I've read some about gouging, but know nothing.I have an older quonset shop that had the slider door replaced with an overhead. The old slider door track is embedded in concrete at the base and looks like smaller railroad track in profile. It is still substantial stuff. I need to cut a drain notch in it, because now it dams water up to where it flows under the door and onto the concrete floor inside. What approach should I use to get this thing notched out with plasma? I'm limited to 1" or less according to the specs on my machine. I thought I could vertically cut and remove the top surface from the sides up to the middle upright portion, then cut the upright part out. Any suggestions?Wallypedal |
