Reply:If you're in Texas and you're a US citizen, why the hell would you want to come to Canada ?Cold weather, High Taxes, Higher costs for EVERYTHING,It's no sunshine and roses. Stay home.
Reply:The only places in Canada that are booming for work are oil rich provinces like Alberta. This is the same type of energy boom happening in states like North Dakota and Texas. That's where the work and money is. Your already in a good state for work. You need the skills and tickets to get started.JasonLincoln Idealarc 250 stick/tigThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52Miller Bobcat 250Torchmate CNC tableThermal Arc Hefty 2Ironworkers Local 720

Reply:If you are in the Boilermakers or other larger union you might look at getting work in Canada on permit. I know Canadian Boilermakers often shuttle south on shutdowns.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index-can.asp There are several ways to work in the country on special visa. I know there is some sort of young people exchange for people in their twenties and single. The Australians often come over for work and visit combined. Be careful of immigration services and immigration lawyers. If you have a million bucks to invest in a business venture you are a shoe-in. LOL
