Tig welder for Lincoln classic 3d

Hi there I would like to use my Lincoln classic as a power source to run tig. With ac capabity. The Lincoln is cc dc machine. Budget is 4000 and would like to be portable. Reply:Being a DC machine, the only way you would be able to run AC TIG is if you had enough aux power to run a plug-in TIG machine. Since you're limited to about 15 amps of 220V aux power, I doubt that it would be feasable.

Reply:It looks like you should be able to get all the goodies you need to AC TIG with the Trailblazer and stay under budget. You'll need a Hi-freq add-on and various ohter accessories to make it work. You can look up the Trailblazer on Miller's website and it will show you the accessories available/needed, or your LWS should be able to hook you up.

Reply:Your other option would be to run a machine like the Dynasty 200 from the 220v aux power on the TB. There are several guys here who run them off Bobcats. That would give you more options than the HF box and give you a portable tig you could use in the shop/ site and not need to run the genset. The big question would be if you needed more amps than the Dynasty could deliver. I doubt that would be the case, as you need to add a cooler and WC torch if you needed that many amps.Personally I'd opt for the Dynasty over the HF box/tig set up. I just see it as being a more versitile setup overall..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
