Building a propane birthday candle for 100th birthday

This is a bit off topic but I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me.My mother is turning 100.  As you can imagine, 100 birthday candles would be hard to light and harder for her to blow out.  I know I can buy one of those wax '100' candles but I wondered if I could do better.My idea is to sweat copper pipe with silver solder into a small octagon that I can suspend over the 9" cake.  I would drill 100 holes in the pipe and run propane at low pressure so she can easily blow out the flames.I deal with the piping issues and drill the holes.  I am naturally concerned about safety.  I would rather not incinerate the birthday girl or blow up the room.Any thoughts?many thanks for the advice.

Reply:I agree this does not sound like a good idea.  After the flames are blown out you will have 100 gas jets spewing propane into the room.  If you insist n the gas candles, consider a valve so the birthday girl can turn them out.I offer three choices: Good, Fast, & Cheap. Reply:One way to get around the hazard of propane after the flames are blown out is have a long fuel hose with a shutoff mid way ... That way you can shut it down right when she blows them out ... Sure thing she couldn't do it by herself ... Make her think she did them all at once ... But the other bother might be the looks of the thing and the fact that sooo many little flames spread out over a fair area generates a big heat overall ... Just try to put your hand anywhere above 100 lit candles ...I have been there, done that ... Reply:If i understand what your wanting to do correctly. I would suggest shopping online for a 100 candle with one wick...one flame to blow out or find the ones and zeros  which would give you only 3 wicks.
Reply:look around on youtube for people who put a lot of candles on a cake. The flames all come together and you end up with one huge firestorm atop the cake that grandma will not be able to blow out.
