Inco Ni-Rod 55 for Cast Iron

Does anyone have any experience using Inco Ni-Rod 55 flux cored wire? I've used the Ni-Rod 55 stick rod successfully, but I saw the flux cored wire in a catalog and was wondering if it performs well, is it gas or self shielded , etc. Any feedback is appreciated!

Reply:I've never used the wire welds4d, I would expect to be the same as the electrode if it's flux cored and bare rod if it's metal cored. Inco Alloys makes good stuff.Matt
Reply:I agree, Matt, Inco makes some very good products. I was hoping to hear about the wire before I asked my boss to spend probably $700+ on a spool of wire.
