Alright guys just some questions about this machine....  I may buy a new one in the near future...Do you find them sticky on start up with stick ?  The one at work is,  turn up the hot start and it gets violent on start up and throws spatter...There is an XMT 304 there that welds nice,  don't get me wrong the Lincoln welds nice once you get her going,  just likes to stick more than I like....Crank the arc force down to -5 on the Lincoln and bump the amps to 95  (3/32 7018) and the slag just peels off.Journeyman / Red Seal Welder (What a useless test)Miller CST 280Miller XMT 350Miller 12vs XtremeEvolution Evo 28 mag drillEvolution 380 Dry Cut saw
Reply:No never noticed that! My V350-Pro runs 6010 every bit as nice as my Short hoods, and runs 7018 every bit as nice as my Red Face machines. Will run circles around the Dynasty 300 with SMAW. Runs wire every bit as nice as any Mig welder I've ever run. All around great machine! Reply:When I was in school, we had XMT 350's, Idealarc 250's and one V350 Pro. By chance, I got to use the V350 Pro and let me tell you that it has the most incredibly smooth, buttery arc I have ever seen. I was doing a horizontal weld with 3/32" 7018 and I was just amazed. I will definitely own one of these in the future."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:I have significant experience with the Lincoln V350 pro. It is an outstanding machine. I prefer the V350 pro over the Miller XMT series machines. If your sticking your Smaw rods with the Invertec V350, it isn't the machine. It's your technique or your electrodes or your machine set up.

Reply:There must be something wrong with that machine. I thought the hot start was cool when I first got my machine, but I haven't touched in months. I have it set where it's not to hot for tacking open root pipe, and never touched it again. I do use the arc force though. But I use it more like an inductance control.Don’t pay any attention to meI’m just a hobbyist!CarlDynasty 300V350-Pro w/pulseSG Spool gun1937 IdealArc-300PowerArc 200ST3 SA-200sVantage 400
Reply:Good morning, I am new to this forum. I have a Invertec V350 Pro, I get this error 4213, changing the main board or updating the software fixes this error. I have the software to update it, but I find the serial connector into the machine. Someone could help me
Reply:I used those machines throughout school. They were probably some of the best I have ever used. Had an issue with one overheating all the time but that was it. I think it had something to do with the crappy lead that never quite sat right.I usually ran the hot start on 6 and arc control set in the middle. Darn good machines, though. Used an old ESAB at my first job that was horrible in comparison.
